Extra 27 Second Wedding Anniversary
Pan Lei was unable to return on this anniversary since he had gone to command a mission. He did not carry out the task, but as the Chief Commander, he was responsible for keeping an eye on the overall situation.
They had planned to pig out at Zhang Hui's restaurant, then go to the movies, then stroll home, and then roll the sheets all night, but it all fell through.
Tian Yuan had no choice but to make do with eating his own creation and viewing DVDs by himself. Zhou Xingxing[1] was howling with laughter, but he was bored. Pan Lei didn't turn on his phone during the operation, so he couldn't even chat with anyone.
Tian Yuan's eyes struggled to stay open while watching the movie, so he slumped back on the sofa, and promptly fell asleep.
When Pan Lei arrived home, it was three o'clock in the morning, the TV was on, Zhou Xingxing was still performing, the lights in the living room were dim, and a bouquet of bright red roses was placed on the table, while his darling slept very uncomfortable with his neck twisted.
Pan Lei took him in his arms and kissed him. Tian Yuan awoke in a stupor, saw him, and embraced his neck in silence.
"Baby, go back to sleep."
"You didn't even return sooner."
He sounded depressed, which made Pan Lei feel bad. He leaned down and kissed him on the ear.
"I'll be free tomorrow; let's go on a date."
Tian Yuan nodded in agreement. Given the nature of Pan Lei's work, this was the best they could do.
"I even got a cake, you know."
Tian Yuan broke free from Pan Lei's embrace and walked to the refrigerator.
"Yeah? Isn't a cake only for birthdays? We have cakes for wedding anniversaries as well? Do we need candles? Shall I get two and light them?"
Tian Yuan smiled.
"I passed by the cake shop on my way home. I thought the mousse cake looked pretty good and decided to buy it. How was I to know you’d come home this late. You must be starving. Let's eat some cake and then retire to bed."
"Sounds good."
They scooped a large chunk and shared it, one bite you, one bite me. They didn’t need spoons or forks since they simply ate it with their hands. You feed me, and I feed you; feeding till the fire was lit.
Pan Lei's eyes darkened as he licked Tian Yuan’s fingers.
He carried Tian Yuan, kicked open the door, and then kicked it shut.
Soon, sounds began to escape from the room.
"You're sweeter than cake, baby."
"F*ck off!"
"Baby, won’t it be tastier if the cake is spread all over your body?"
The bedroom door swung open. Pan Lei had emerged to grab the cake.
The cake and cream-covered sheet was seen drying on the balcony the next day.
Pan Lei grinned and turned to look at Tian Yuan, who was sleeping on the bed. Yeah, it was an unforgettable wedding anniversary.
