Extra 37 I must sort you out
Pan Lei checked the time; it was eleven o'clock.
It was time to go to bed.
When he returned to the living room, he noticed Tian Yuan conversing. There were a lot of people chatting in the game, both men and women. Tian Yuan's face was animated, and he was beaming with joy.
"Have you finished attacking the city? Then let's rest."
"Wait, wait, the president is discussing the specifics of this siege and summarizing the experience for the next siege."
Pan Lei entered the bedroom, drew the window curtains, piled up the pillows, and turned down the covers before taking a shower, but Tian Yuan was still online.
Pan Lei went out to check again and heard a woman talking. He came to a halt and listened intently. Was that Little Zhang laughing and talking with Tian Yuan on the computer's voice chat?
"It's almost midnight; you can't stay up late."
"Little Zhang is teaching me some moves. Another 30 minutes."
Pan Lei frowned as he leaned against the door frame. He didn't like the way he felt. It seemed as though he was fighting the game for his guy. The game was nothing more than a shameless mistress who forced its way between them.
Tian Yuan yawned a few times after the half-hour was up, promising Little Zhang that he would PK with another guild the next day and that he would not forget it. He would absolutely play the game. He finally got off the computer, albeit reluctantly.
Tian Yuan's bedtime had passed. He was so tired that he staggered into the bedroom and buried his face in the quilt. Pan Lei hugged him and kissed him briefly. Tian Yuan stayed motionless obediently. Pan Lei took one look at him and... F*ck, he’s asleep.
Pan Lei was about to vomit blood because he was so depressed, but Tian Yuan was fast asleep.
Tian Yuan had the feeling that he had died and been revived. He required assistance turning over. He couldn't move from the waist down and could only move his eyes at the time. No, he couldn't even move his eyes with ease. Pan Lei supported his lower back and assisted him in rolling over.
Pan Lei reflected on himself at this point, but who let him not see his baby for so long. He waited on Tian Yuan, kneading his waist and beating his legs. Tian Yuan gave him a harsh stare, but he couldn't do anything. Pan Lei misread his stink eye for a coquettish glance and blew him a kiss with pouty lips. Tian Yuan laughed angrily.
"What time is it?"
"It's past six now. I'm cooking vegetable porridge in the pot. Shall I bring you some?"
"I’m getting up."
Tian Yuan rubbed his waist before putting on his clothes.
"Why are you in such a rush? It'll be dark soon, so let's rest early after dinner."
Pan Lei, who had eaten his fill, wrapped his arms around Tian Yuan and climbed into bed, saying sweet words.
"No, I have to play today as well. Little Zhang said to practice and level up."
Saying this, Tian Yuan really got up while supporting his lower back. Pan Lei hurriedly supported his arm, a little unhappy.
"Is it really that important? It's only something to do to pass the time, yet look at you."
"It's a lot of fun."
Tian Yuan stretched his waist. Even though he was stiff, he shook off Pan Lei's arm.
"Don't help me. It makes me look like I'm pregnant."
"Our boy will surely play soy sauce[1] if you can give birth."
Pan Lei arranged pillows on the sofa to make him feel more comfortable, then rambled to express his dissatisfaction. Playing the game clearly causes you to disregard everything and prevents you from getting a good rest. Don’t you have to go to work tomorrow? Just play for a little bit.
Tian Yuan agreed, "Yeah, yeah." Even if Pan Lei was unhappy, he would not stop Tian Yuan. He only frowned hard. After jogging downstairs for a few laps, he bought some snacks and returned home just in time to see Tian Yuan thumping his waist and moving his shoulders uncomfortably.
Frankly, a surgeon’s cervical spine is at unacceptably high risk during many procedures. Surgery takes time, and some procedures can last many hours. A surgeon's shoulders and cervical spine can develop problems early as a result of a lowered head. Tian Yuan also placed the computer on the coffee table, bent forward, and continued to press the mouse, which could result in frozen shoulder.
Pan Lei was generally very attentive, giving Tian Yuan a massage or something. The key was for his family's ancestor to remain obedient. The symptoms would be relieved if he listened to him and exercised every day. These issues would only worsen if he didn't exercise.
Pan Lei's face sank like lead in an instant.
"Go to sleep."
"Another hour, just one more."
Pan Lei stepped in front of him, towering over Tian Yuan, and grabbed his shoulders.
Tian Yuan raised his eyes to him. When he saw his calm yet stern face, Tian Yuan felt a little trepidation. He finally realized how the recruits felt when they arrived at the commando unit and saw Pan Lei's severe expression. He was exactly what they dubbed: Devil Pan! Usually, he was smiling mischievously or ingratiatingly, so everything was fine; but when he was truly angry, his expression was terrifying and made others nervous and scared.
"Ge, I’m playing the critical moment."
"I'll count to three. Turn off the computer immediately, or you will have a hard time. One."
"Ge."
"Two!"
I'll trick you. Tian Yuan clenched his fist and raised his brows. Yo-ho-ho, what is he going to do? Does he dare hit me?
"You even want to thrash me."
"I'll count to three. If you don't switch off the computer, believe it or not, I'll turn it into scrap iron."
Tian Yuan lifted his foot and kicked him.
"Prodigal Man! Won’t breaking it cost us money!"
"Then you should stop playing."
"I said it’s at a critical juncture."
Pan Lei went right up to forcefully shut down the computer. Tian Yuan jumped up and tried to grab it, making Pan Lei glare at him.
"Be honest, don't wait till I confiscate it. I'll be really angry if you don't hurry up and get into bed."
"Pan Lei, your uncle! Why do you have to control everything!"
"I don't mind if you play. You can do whatever makes you happy, but only if you keep your health in mind. Are you going to listen or not?"
"Your sister!" {T/N: TY uses "mei" which means "little sister."}
"I have an older sister, you know that. Stop arguing and carry out the order quickly."
Tian Yuan couldn't even touch the computer despite jumping. Pan Lei was much taller than him and deliberately raised it high. Tian Yuan snorted angrily as he stretched his arms but was unable to snatch it.
"You’re sleeping on the couch today!"
Tian Yuan turned around and stomped into the bedroom. Pan Lei took the computer into the kitchen, wondering where he could hide it so Tian Yuan wouldn't find it. Can I put it in the fridge... F*ck! What the hell am I thinking? Pan Lei simply opened the cupboard and placed the computer inside.
Tian Yuan was fuming and cocooned himself in the quilt, refusing to look at Pan Lei. Pan Lei let out a sigh. Ancestor, this was truly his dear ancestor, and he was furious.
"I'm not saying you can't play, but you do so under the condition that you can't hurt your body. Don’t your neck and back hurt? What about your shoulders? Come here, I’ll rub them for you. You don't know how to cherish your body. What will you do when you are old and it troubles you?"
His Tian’er was angry, so Pan Lei coaxed him while lightly hammering his back.
"Humph!"
Tian Yuan pursed his lips and snorted. I won’t look back, I won’t!
"Oh you! How do others compliment you? Oh yes, gentle and polite, cultured and considerate. So you're taking out your temper on me because I spoil you? Let them see; let them come and see how my baby’s little mouth is pouting like a little donkey. How old are you, baby? Are you a three-year-old baby that loses your temper when you are not allowed to play?"
Pan Lei leaned forward on Tian Yuan’s shoulder, observing his grumpy appearance with an amused look. He extended his hand and twisted his nose. He’s so old, over thirty, but he’s still so cute. He was courteous like an elegant young lord outside, but when he was with Pan Lei, he acted like a total brat, played little tricks, and did anything he pleased. Really spoiled. Yet it was his petty temper that Pan Lei liked. Why? Because it showed that his baby had genuine feelings for him. He didn't need a mask to hide his true personality.
"You’re hateful, and you’re far too overbearing."
"Okay, okay, I'm not good. Baby, turn over and lie on my lap, and I'll rub your shoulders."
Only Tian Yuan could make Pan Lei love him so much. He truly gave Tian Yuan all of his tenderness and patience, leaving only impatience for others.
Tian Yuan groaned in his lap, a look of grievance on his face.
"You finally returned home, but you're still bullying me. Isn’t it just playing a game? Yet you're jealous because you believe I'll spend less time with you. It's just a thing to pass the time. You are a thing[2]. Tut!"
What could Pan Lei do but listen?
"On the left, go up a little, yep, right there. It hurts a lot these days."
"Cervical spondylosis is an occupational disease. Go to the orthopedics department tomorrow to see if there’s any good solution. Play less games, or you’ll get frozen shoulder."
"I’m tired; let’s sleep."
Tian Yuan was not in the mood to listen to Pan Lei’s nagging. He'd been talking about it for the past two days. Pan Lei slept with his arms around Tian Yuan. Fearing that his shoulders would continue to hurt, Pan Lei made sure the quilt was snugly wrapped around him all night.
He was still on vacation, so he drove Tian Yuan to work and planned to catch up with Lin Mu, but as he turned to leave, Little Zhang raced up to Tian Yuan, her expression full of complaints.
"Teacher, you went offline too early yesterday. Do you want to go to the mall today? We can trade weapons there. I have some surplus equipment that I can give you."
"Sure, I'm really worried about my low level."
"Then, eight o'clock. I’ll see you there!"
Pan Lei walked into Lin Mu's office with a scowl on his face. Lin Mu laughed as he approached.
"Pfff! You look like someone robbed you of Tian Yuan. Your eyebrows can kill a fly[3]."
"Lin Mu, aren’t we buddies?"
"No."
Lin Mu knew Pan Lei was up to no good as soon as he heard this, and he didn't want to get involved.
Footnotes:
[1] Soy sauce refers to "minding my own business," so I’m not sure what PL means. Maybe "Our boy will be ignored/redundant." Any thoughts?
[2] Calling someone a "little thing" shows love/affection, but calling them a "thing" is a scolding.
[3] Lin Mu says that PL is frowning so hard that the crease between his brows could crush a fly. Gross image that.
Translator:
I was puzzled by the sequence of events. TY falls asleep before PL can do this and that, but the next day PL looks back and thinks he went too far. I believed PL was a beast who "ate" TY when he was sleeping. But, the scene switches to the following evening, so I guess it's reasonable to assume PL had his way during the day. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
