Chapter 5: Sugar daddy

57.

Ghosts cannot feel, but based on my years of experience, Su Yu's fingertips must be slightly cool at this time, with a hint of tobacco.

Su Yu paused for a moment when his fingertips touched Xiaobai's cheekbone. Then put his hand down and laughed at himself, saying, "I'm afraid I'm going crazy."

Then he turned and returned to his study.

The kid screamed at me in panic: "Damn, don't be in a daze! What's wrong with your face?!"

I was shocked as well, and swiftly touched my face: "Huh? What happened? Is it broken?:

The kid stared at my eyes: "Red! It's bright red! Is he too full of yang energy and burn you? Is there any burning sensation?

Me: ……

Me: Damn it! Does a ghost have no right to blush?!!

59.

The little ghost's method could only be used once a day, so I had to stay in this skeleton for the rest of the time, maintaining this commanding and coolly idiotic position.

Fortunately, this kid had nothing else to do, so he stayed and talked to me.

"When it comes to ghosts, half linger in this world because of attachment, and the other half for revenge," the imp explained. "The nostalgic half see their loved ones gradually forgetting them and starting new lives without them, so the nostalgia also eventually turns into revenge. Come on, buddy, tell me how you want to get revenge."

I glanced at him: "Will you help me?"

The imp was firm: "You think too much."

…...See you.

60.

What should I do in retaliation for Su Yu's actions?

That is the question.

Su Yu had made me rush back in rage from the Bridge of Helplessness at the time. I was so angry that my hackles were rising. But in the end, I just can't get over the fact that this enticing dog is getting married on my touqi.

…...But what if he waited another day?

61.

For a long time, I was overwhelmed with righteous wrath, thinking: Anyway, this wedding can't happen!
Imp: Correct!
Me: I'm going to crash it to pieces!
Imp: Yes!
Me: It must be dealt with!
Imp: Jiayou!
Me: I...I will go to the wedding and tell ghost stories to all the guests!
Imp: …...You spicy chicken. [trash]

62.

To be honest, I had once imagined my wedding with Su Yu, but without a ceremony.

When we've decided to spend the rest of our lives with each other, we'll go to the Yuelao Temple and kowtow a few times to the old man, thanking him for tying our red string. Then we'd have a banquet with a few close friends to celebrate.

No rings needed.

Su Yu inquired as to why. I stated emphatically that it should be feelings that bind two people together. It was unnecessary to add a ring as a shackle.

Su Yu was silent for a moment before saying, "That won't do. Your brain is damaged. If nothing is tying you down, what will I do if I lose you?"

Well, now that I'm gone, he's going to tie someone else down.

F*ck. I'm so angry.

63.

Su Yu walked inside the study. After a time, he returned to the kitchen to fetch some water. He looked across at Xiaobai, paused for a bit, then walked over again, carrying the water glass.

As a result, we had another staring contest.

His eyes were slightly curved this time, as if he was very interested in something and in a good mood.

I was a little perplexed.

A moment later, he smirked and remarked, "I am really looking forward to your erotic dance."

64.

The little devil clung tightly to my soul and yelled anxiously: "Calm down! Calm down! Don't be impulsive! You must not be impulsive!"

65.

That dog Su Yu finally returned to the study. The little devil had run out of energy and collapsed in the air, seeming translucent. He asked, "Were both of you in a 'contract' relationship?"

I inquired: "Does look like it?"

"I have never seen a shabby sugar daddy," the little devil replied, shaking his head. "He looks more like the one keeping you."

I remained mute.

It's nonsense to talk about our "contract," but it was the best solution I could think of.

We had been out of touch for some years at the time. Except for a phone number that lay like a corpse on our WeChat list, it was as if the other person had never existed in our lives.

It was strange. We clearly put on a show of being incompatible with each other, yet we did not delete each other's phone numbers.

It laid like a silent tombstone in the contact list.

I understood and accepted my fate within ten minutes of receiving the diagnosis.

F*ck this shit, I thought. There is no need to struggle. Would my final moments be spent in the ICU or living a life of debauchery? The answer was so obvious that it couldn't even be considered a decision.

I contacted Su Yu fifteen minutes after receiving the diagnosis.

This decision felt more logical to me than even the previous decision.

The phone rang for a long time. Su Yu picked up the phone just as I was about to hang up.

Ours tone were very calm and natural, as if we were still together and had just watched a movie the day before.

I stated that I needed to see him immediately.

Su Yu was silent for 3 seconds before agreeing.

67.

That day, this dog revealed his obstinate personality vividly and thoroughly. He said no more than three sentences when signing the contract. I hadn't even turned on the lights when we entered my house before being pushed against the door.

And then, matters evolved into an indescribable storm of passion.

From the front door to the living room, to the kitchen table, to the bedroom bed, to the bathroom.

Our clothes were strewn about, and the muffled and ambiguous moaning sounds rose and fell again and again.

We were completely insane that day.

Or perhaps, we both felt alive again that day.

68.

Tsk, I have to say that this dog's stamina is really good.

69.

Su Yu flopped on me at the end of another wild ride, and the handsome face that had captivated me was buried in my neck. I could feel him trembling slightly.

In my panic, I pushed him and asked fiercely: "Hey! Do you regret signing the contract? Are you planning to run away after doing me? I didn't expect you to be like this!"

Su Yu hugged me tightly, as if squeezing me into his body, before lowering his head to bite my clavicle. He was silent for a moment before saying in a muffled voice, "Shut up."

…...Fine, I'll count it as the contract's probation period. Party B worked quite hard, and this bankroller is very satisfied.

Of course, it would have been even better if I hadn't had to stay put in bed for the next three days.

70.

Speaking about the contract, the reason we decided to sign it was to give each other a way out. This type of relationship is always easier to escape than lovers.

Taking care of the kidneys rather than the heart is the most basic kind of self-protection for adults.

Even if it's just deceiving ourselves.

It's just that I really didn't anticipate Su Yu would go to the company the very next day to hand in his resignation, and then begin the days of living with me and waiting for me to die.

I bitterly asked him why he resigned. Su Yu had really taken me for granted. With some doubt and resentment, he inquired, "Aren't you my sugar daddy? How come you want me to make money?"

I was blinded by his good looks. My brain had crashed and all I could say was, "OK! Ok! You look so good; everything you say is right."

71.

Su Yu came out again in the evening, took his old book, and sat across from me to read.

I felt like an exotic animal on display in a zoo cage, taking turns accepting the attention of the small ghosts, with the windows remaining wide open.

Many female ghosts surrounded him, drooling restlessly and occasionally prodding his handsome face.

Hey, hey, hey, who are you touching?! Down with your hands!!

72.

Su Yu appeared to be distracted today. His phone rang numerous times as he was reading, but he merely glanced at it. He finally tossed it aside, ignoring it.

After a long silence, the other person directly called.

Su Yu stared expressionlessly at the screen of his phone for a minute. He swiped the answer button and held it to his ear just as I thought he wasn't going to answer. His voice was calm: "Mom."

My breath became stuck in my throat.

Su Yu came from a conservative family. His parents were orthodox thinkers and found it quite difficult to accept two men being together. Su Yu's mother was also a force to be reckoned with. She has always been the family's decision-maker over the years and even Su Yu's father dares not say anything after her mind is made up.

Su Yu and his mother were at odds for a month after learning he and I were together. Because of Su Yu's obstinacy, she just called me to their home, which made me tremble the entire trip there.

All I could think about on the way to Su Yu's house was how they'd deal with me. I even imagined they'd assassinate me and then dispose of my body. As a result, when I arrived at his house, his mother simply kept me for supper. She didn't say anything during the meal and just let me go.

Later, I inquired of Su Yu as to why. Su Yu stated that before I arrived for the visit, he informed his mother that this man was as weak as a chicken. Her son would have to spend his life alone if she scared him badly.

Despite what he said, I recall Su Yu going to get the car and me waiting at the door with his mother before we left. In the awkward moment, his mother came up and remarked, "This is not an easy road."

As my heart fell, I heard his mother say, "You are both good children. You have my gratitude if you can stay with him and walk this path well."

74.

Su Yu's mother, like Su Yu himself, was a tsundere.

But even after all these years, I can't help but get nervous when I think of his mother.

Maybe it's because I was extremely struck by his mother's stern face, maybe it's because I "stole" her excellent son from her, or maybe it's because I promised that day that I would be with Su Yu forever, but we ended so soon after.

All in all, just thinking about his mother makes me timid.

Like a mouse before a cat.

75.

Su Yu's parents always hoped that he could find a nice girl and start a happy family. Now that I'm gone, it's only natural. But I have to say the speed is a scary.

I guessed his mother was calling to discuss the wedding. After all, it's just two or three days away. They must be so busy right now.

His mother continued to speak on the phone, but Su Yu simply listened, occasionally humming in agreement.

She finally got tired of talking after a long time and that's when Su Yu opened his mouth to say in a calm voice, "Mom, don't worry. I'm getting married."

For two seconds, there was silence on the other end of the phone, and then a furious voice came clearly through the receiver: "Su Yu, are you crazy?!!"

Huhhh… Can anyone explain to me... what kind of development is this???
